JOIN US TO SCRIPT THE 21st CENTURY - VOICE YOUR OPINION AND CHOOSE ACTION for WOMEN'S RIGHTS TO NON-VIOLENCE in Eastern Congo. The United Nations confirms 32,000 reported cases of rape in the province of Kivu since 2005, with 2,700 reported cases between January - October 2007. Locally - we will also discuss local groups that support women's rights to non-violence in the spirit of representing our views both at home and abroad. Join us to view documentary films, read news/magazine reports, review non-governmental organization initiatives and brainstorm our own ideas! MEN AND WOMEN WELCOME! You don't have to be an expert on African or women's rights issues. This Meet Up ACTIONSHOP(TM) is organized by AND... ACTION!. We empower people to "Script the 21st Century" with their own words and actions by connecting the dots between their "freedom of expression" rights of: (1) accessing information; (2) voicing opinions and (3) taking action.
